Signal Generators

The Signal Generator is the when of a strategy: it produces buy and sell signals from market data. A buy opens or adds to a position; a sell goes flat.

Indicators

Signal Generators can read 23+ technical indicators across the major families:

• Trend / moving averages — SMA, EMA, WMA, DEMA, TEMA, Ichimoku
• Bands & channels — Bollinger Bands, Keltner Channel, Donchian Channel, VWAP
• Momentum & oscillators — RSI, Stochastic, Williams %R, MACD, TRIX, ROC, Momentum, CCI
• Trend strength & volatility — ADX, ATR
• Volume — OBV, MFI, CMF

Condition types

Indicators are turned into signals with flexible conditions:

Condition	Example
Threshold	RSI < 30, ADX > 25
Crossover	EMA(50) crosses above EMA(200)
Percentage deviation	price 5% below VWAP
Candlestick pattern	doji, hammer, bullish engulfing
Volume spike	volume > 3× its recent average
Rolling count	3 of the last 5 candles closed green
Calendar	only on weekdays, or within a time-of-day window
Composite	combine any of the above with AND / OR

Sustained conditions

Any condition can require a sustained hold — it only fires after the condition has been true for N consecutive candles. This filters out one-candle noise and false triggers.

Tip

You never write these out by hand. Describe the trigger in chat — “buy when RSI has been under 30 for two candles and volume just spiked” — and the agent builds the matching Signal Generator.

Signal Generators are saved and reusable: pair the same trigger with different Position Managers and Risk Managers to compare approaches. List the ones you’ve created with /modules.
